Keep My Number - A provtel added service
One of the main questions we are asked is “If I switch to Provincial Tel, can I keep my phone number?” The simple answer is, Yes!
Once you have made the wise moved to Provincial Tel for your phone service, we can transfer your existing phone services on your behalf. The CRTC has mandated that customer’s may keep their current phone number when switching providers.
How Do I Cancel My Service?
- Very Important! Do not cancel your service before you switch to Provincial Tel! You will not be able to keep your current number if you have already cancelled your service without first initiating a transfer with Provincial Tel.
- When you sign up with Provincial Tel, simply tell us that you want to keep your current phone number. We will cancel your existing service and start your new service with us. We will do all of the work!
- Your current service provider will cancel your services immediately as soon as they receive notice of cancellation from Provincial Tel. If you do not want to cancel immediately, let us know when you would like your service with your current service provider to end.
- You do NOT need to provide 30 days notice before cancelling your phone service with your current provider.
You can keep your phone number…
